iRest teaches us to befriend ourselves so that we truly feel well and harmonious. During this immersion, you’ll learn the ancient wisdom that birthed iRest in 10 steps which are supported by clinical research showing their efficacy in supporting wellbeing. 

Join iRest Director of Australasia Fuyuko Sawamura-Toyota for a delightful heart and eye-opening experience of simply dropping in and listening to your body, breath, and mind. You’ll walk away with a sense of deep rest and light-hearted playfulness which will bring you joy, and help you return to your essential nature—love. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary.

In this Immersion you will learn the principles and practice of iRest Yoga Nidra meditation and experience the variety of ways iRest can be used on and off the mat.

This iRest Yoga Nidra Immersion fulfills the short retreat requirement of the iRest Certification Program.

This in-person Immersion is subject to social distancing restrictions allowing for the conduct of the Immersion. In the event we cannot meet in-person due to the pandemic, we will offer this as a livestream Immersion that you can participate in from home via Zoom. (It also may be that participants gather together at Scarborough Surf Life Saving Club and Fuyuko Toyota livestreams in). We will reach out to you accordingly and offer the option for a full refund (less bank processing fees) if we have to transition this event online. Thank you for your understanding.

About the Trainer Fuyuko Sawamura-Toyota

Fuyuko Sawamura-Toyota is a certified iRest® Senior Trainer, Retreat Leader and Supervisor/Mentor. For the past 23 years she has been deeply committed on the path of Yoga and ancient Nondual wisdom. She has been teaching yoga since 1996 and is a certified Yoga Therapist (IAYT), senior Yoga Australia teacher and a certified Meditation Teacher (Association of Meditation Australia).

She incorporates iRest and Self-Inquiry in her teachings of Yoga, Somatic body awareness and meditation at her yoga studio “Prema Yoga” on the Gold Coast, Australia and internationally.

In 2007, Richard Miller, her spiritual mentor, brought to Fuyuko a deeper understanding of living life in a nondual way.  From a life of ever deepening joy, astonishment and Stillness, a heartfelt desire to share these precious teachings has sprung forth.

Fuyuko teaches iRest trainings and retreats in Australia and New Zealand. She has been assisting iRest trainings in North America for Richard Miller and other senior trainers.

Scarborough Surf Life Saving Club is situated at 163 The Esplanade, Scarborough, a coastal suburb 20 minutes drive north west of the Perth CBD. It is situated right on the beach and within short walking distance of many food outlet and accommodation options.
